  • What are Neuromodulators?
Commercially known as Botox Cosmetic, Dysport or Xeomin, are used to treat wrinkles, frown lines, and crow’s feet. A minute amount of the neuromodulator is injected directly into the underlying muscle, causing it to relax and gradually smooth out the appearance of the overlying skin. The effects typically last about three months.
  • What are Neuromodulators used for?
Aging Skin Crow’s Feet Excessive Sweating Frown Lines and Forehead Furrows Sagging Skin Wrinkles Over the years, our skin changes in tone and texture. The natural foundation of our tissues loses its elasticity, causing fine lines and wrinkles to slowly appear. With the loss of collagen and elastin, tissues will no longer bounce back, instead becoming lax and lifeless. Along with these changes may come dark, ‘hollow’ areas beneath the eyes and along the cheekbones. Coupled with the effects of sun damage, smoking, stress, pollutants, and genetics, these early signs of aging are impossible to avoid. While there is no substitute for a healthy diet and good skincare routine, there is a simple, noninvasive way to temporarily improve the appearance of age-related wrinkles and volume loss: dermal fillers. These injectable formulations are made from naturally occurring, biodegradable substances like Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHA). The benefits of fillers can be seen immediately, and depending on the treatment area, can last from six months to two years.
  • What can Neuromodulators Improve?

  • What is the difference between Botox and Dysport?
Dysport and Botox are both neurotoxins with the same active ingredient, Botulinum Toxin Type A. They are made by different companies (Dysport - Galderma, Botox - Allergan), and both used very widely. "Botox" has really become a common word to refer to all cosmetic neurotoxins on the market since it was the first and only for quite some time that was FDA approved for cosmetic use. Some people may distinguish differences between Botox and Dysport, such as, onset, fell, and over all look when comparing the two. Some people report a "frozen" look with Botox and a quicker onset of action with Dysport.
